Project Methodology

We strongly believe in a consistent project methodology to ensure maximum value of our services. Our methodology is illustrated in the model below:

Evaluate

An integral part of our methodology is the evaluation of the design. It is not a separate phase, but rather an activity that should be conducted during the entire development process. Evaluation involves the analysis of competitor websites, testing the concept with the target audience, testing the beta-version with the target audience for detailed feedback, and monitoring the use of the website after it has gone ‘live’.

1. Understand

The first phase of a project usually starts with understanding the client’s business drivers and thorough understanding of the end-user’s needs. The basic requirements need be clear and understood by User Intelligence and the client.

2. Conceive

From there, we will start to conceive solutions to fulfil those requirements. These solutions are presented in the form of high-level designs, a proof of concept, or a prototype. This phase will normally require a great deal of interaction between User intelligence, the client and their customers.

3. Design

After the concept has been discussed, the final scope of the project can be determined and a more precise planning and estimation for the design of the project can be made. During the design phase, we will create detailed design specifications in the form of screenflows and wireframes. These can optionally be supplemented with use cases and business rules. User Intelligence always tries to incorporate early usability testing during the design phase. This way, design decisions can be checked early in the process, and correcting them is much easier in this phase of the project.

4. Develop

During the development phase, we support the technical development team by providing additional details where needed. Also, we can do regular checks to verify the implementation is adhering to the designs.

5. Optimize

The last phase in our methodology is reserved for optimization. Even if you checked the designs during the development phase, the website cannot be optimal yet. Therefore, it is important to keep monitoring the use of the website and make improvements where necessary.
