Welcome to 2009!

The year 2009 has barely started, and User Intelligence is already very busy on challenging projects – so far, no signs of a global economical crisis! We will do our best to make this year a success once again for everyone involved with UI. Please read about some of our recent activities below…


			Parking meters in Amsterdam: least user-friendly Ever tried to use a parking meter in the centre of Amsterdam? Or in Tokyo, for that matter? User Intelligence published a report on parking meters worldwide on World Usability Day. Amsterdam came out as ‘least user-friendly’, which resulted in significant media attention in The Netherlands. read more →


			How to combine Web Analytics and User Research? User Intelligence gave a sparkling presentation at the Chi Nederland event on combining Web Analytics with User Research methods. The presented Web Traffic Map drew a lot of attention from the audience. read more →


			Top 5 placement in global WAA Championship For the first WAA Web Analytics Championship, web analysts were asked to review webanalyticsassociation.org and its traffic data. UI submitted their analysis and were rewarded with a top 5 placement. read more →


			UXalliance adds partners in Japan and Russia At its most recent meeting in Beijing in October 2008, the UXalliance welcomed two new partner companies: Mitsue-Links from Japan and UI Design Group from Russia. Both partners have established working relationships with existing partners and meet the UXalliance’s high quality standards. read more →


	Furthermore... Pictures: UI ended the year 2008 with a traditional Office Party with homemade Traditional Margarita’s, Karaoke and Wii Guitar Hero. A deadly combination! New hires: Mariska Trimbos (Finance, Dec 2008) and Paula Deisz (User Research, Feb 2009) have joined the company. We are very happy! And we are still hiring ;-) Tool tip: The atmosphere in the office has drastically changed after someone introduced Songza – the music search engine and Internet Jukebox. Supply peers with headphones before sharing this link! Software: We're still not sure this is real - check out this promotional video from Microsoft.
