As was hinted in our previous newsletter, we have recently opened a new office in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Famous for its harbour and sky-scrapers the city has earned the nickname 'Manhattan on the Maas'. And now it also has become our second base of operations in The Netherlands. So what made us decide to settle here?

To continue a UI tradition, we will answer this question with the Five W's now:
Who?
Our team in Rotterdam currently consists of 4 consultants: Bob Corporaal, Martje van der Linde, Laurens Geleedst and Wouter van Dijk. Now we have a total of 21 employees in the Netherlands and Finland together. In the near future, Matthijs Dröes will be added as our fifth team member.
What?
We provide Research, Strategy and Design services; similar to what the teams in Amsterdam and Helsinki are doing.
Where?
You can find us in the center of Rotterdam together with 12 creative companies at the Creative Cube. From this location we mainly focus on projects in the greater Rotterdam area, but we also work on projects in the rest of the Netherlands, Finland or the rest of the world (UXalliance).
When?
The office opened on the 1st of February and is now fully operational. We will be holding our first UX Cocktail hour here on the 30th of June.
Why?
There are three important reasons for opening an office in Rotterdam:
- We noticed a growing interest in Customer Experience services in and around Rotterdam. A second office makes it easier to deliver services to customers in this region (e.g. travel time).
- We are always looking for new team members. The greater Rotterdam region, with the Erasmus University and Delft Technical University has a lot of talents to offer!
- Rotterdam is swinging, so why wouldn’t you open an office in Rotterdam?
