Reunion of USI’s at UI

Every year the alumni organization USINET of the User-System Interaction program organizes a visit to an interesting company working in the field of HCI. This year’s visit was a special one: the USI’s got a chance to visit our company that was founded by an USI of the first generation (’98-’00): Tjeerd de Boer.

About USI

The user-system Interaction program is a 2 year post-graduate program at the University of Eindhoven which focuses on the design and evaluation of user interfaces of products, systems and services. It is a unique program and since the start of the program 10 years ago it has established a solid reputation. Every year a group of around 20 people with widely varied backgrounds and nationalities start this program and after two years they spread around the world again to pass on valuable knowledge and experience at different UX companies. This year two USI’s ‘landed’ at UI: Paula and Annemieke. And at the end of the year Wouter, also a former USI student, will join UI!

About the event

In total around 25 USI’s were present to see the presentations given by Joris and Martijn about two interesting projects where UI has worked on. Of course there was also lots of time to chat with each other before and after the presentations. The fact that the last USI’s left the office around 1 am showed that the yearly reunion of USI’s was a big success!
