Odiel van Wijk

Odiel joined the Dutch team of User Intelligence in November 2011 as a research trainee.

When Odiel decided to study Industrial Design Engineering (IO) at the Delft University of Technology, she had no idea where it would take her. However, she had decided one thing: not to become the next designer to make yet another water boiler. At the masters program ‘Design for Interaction’ finally things became clear: good design is about the experience!

Following several courses Odiel learned to work with a range of research techniques and how to design for usability and interaction. Her main interest is 'creative research techniques'; a way to get insight in the latent layer of the experience of a service or product. During the traineeship Odiel will introduce new and creative research techniques at User Intelligence.

In her free time Odiel enjoys climbing, in the gym or even better outdoors. Cooking, dancing and cycling and watching a movie are other interests. All this she likes best in the company of friends.
