Intrigued by human behavior and perception, Maartje studied applied cognitive psychology in Utrecht. After this study, a growing interest in applied research and technical innovation led her to the USI program. An internship at Philips Research was the place to bring user research methodology and technical skills into practice.
After completing the USI program, Maartje started as an e-learning developer and consultant at ISM eCompany. Here she used her knowledge on how people behave and learn in order to create useful and interesting digital learning experiences.
In 2011 Maartje became a User Researcher at User Intelligence to focus more on user research and usability testing. She is passionate about exploring the balance between user needs and business goals, supporting the development of user-centered solutions through analysis and research.
In her spare time Maartje likes to sing, win squash matches, swim, read and watch movies.
